Fred W. McGinty Sr., CPCU – Chief Executive Officer

Fred has worked in the Insurance field since 1970 as an Adjuster, Risk Manager of a national manufacturing company, a Founder and CEO of a publicy held insurance company and commercial insurance agent and broker. He joined what is now McGinty-Gordon & Associates in 1975 and holds the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) professional designation. He is a Coverholder at Lloyd’s of London and helped develop MGA’s in-house underwriting facility for commercial property and homeowners insurance facility. Fred is the Past Chairman of the Brunswick & Glynn County Development Authority and Past President of the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce. He has earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Valdosta State University.

GREG W. GORDON – President of the Agency

Greg joined Trupp-McGinty as an agent in 1985 and was President of HRH of St. Simons. Prior to joining the agency, he was owner and manager of a successful small business in Valdosta, GA for 11 years, and he understands the challenges faced by small business. He is a graduate of Valdosta High School and received his education for his property and casualty insurance license at the University of Georgia. He continued his education with the Aetna Property and Casualty school in Hartford, CT. His specialties are service, manufacturing, contracting and habitational accounts. He is active in several trade and civic organizations. He has been successful in assisting client with implementing effective workers compensation and automobile loss control programs, helping several achieve six-figure reductions in annual claims costs.

G. Patrick Newton, CIC-Vice President & Treasurer

Patrick entered the insurance industry in 1981 after obtaining a BBA degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Georgia. Prior to joining what is now known as McGinty-Gordon & Associates in 1989, he worked at various insurance companies as a commercial lines underwriter before moving on to work in the large commercial account division of Alexander & Alexander in Atlanta, GA. Patrick obtained his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1990.

Michael K. Maloy, Vice President

Vice-President of McGinty Gordon and Associates Employee Benefits Division. Having joined the agency in 1989 , his focus remains on providing employee benefits to the mid and large marketplace . Because of cost associated with employers offering a comprehensive program , Mike works closely with his clients to develop both short and long term strategies to better manage their risk. His knowledge of the industry as well as his hands on approach allows him to develop a close relationship with his clients.

Richard L. Russell, Vice President

Richard graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1994 with a Communications Degree. He began working in Risk Management with Hilb, Rogal and Hamilton, specializing in Property and Casualty and became a McGinty-Gordon & Associates Partner in 2000. Richard has served his community as a Board of Director for the Brunswick-Glynn County Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Coastal Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross and Boy Scouts of America. He graduated from the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Glynn Program and in 1999 was named District Director of the Georgia Young Agents Committee.

Richard specializes in high valued properties and hard to place flood and condominium associations and has been very successful putting together property programs to fit their needs. He also writes small to mid size businesses, municipalities, non profit operations, golf courses and schools and many other industries among his diverse book of business.
